“Who will guard the guards?” asks the classical Latin proverb. And the modern variant of this is “Who will watch out for the data of the guard of the guards?”.

The answer to this is Safetica Technologies. The Czech General Inspectorate of Security Forces (GIBS), the government agency charged with overseeing the state’s security apparatus, has selected Safetica 5 to protect their data.

While many governments – not just the Czech Republic – have issues with keeping data secure, it is the leaks from police files, customs authorities, and the prison system which are the most troublesome. While reputed leaks from these agencies are all too common in the media, the bigger issue is their potential impact on the public security.

Running a leak-free organization is essential to GIBS. They have the critical role of auditing and supervising the state security forces such as the Police, Prison Services and the Customs Administration in the Czech Republic. If it looks like a member of these agencies committed a crime, it’s the GIBS that is called in to investigate the facts.

"It is a great success that our Safetica was chosen to protect the data of such a significant security institution. I believe it will soon be followed by other units in state administration and security, and not only in the Czech Republic," says Jakub Mahdal, CEO of Safetica Technologies.
