Safetica is announcing a new, highly innovative security technology partnership update to Safetica Cloud’s web categorization, further strengthening Intelligent Data Security to reduce internal risk and manual processes.
Through an integration with Zvelo, a global leader in website categorization, Safetica can now more accurately detect risky and non-compliant user behavior. This allows admin to quickly block access to malicious or inappropriate content while also improving the accuracy and effectiveness of existing configurations – resulting in significantly more illegal and dangerous sites being blocked than before. With fewer false positives to sort through and enhanced reliability in detections, Safetica Cloud is able to deliver a higher level of security.
While a number of specific sites will always remain uncategorized, such as IP addresses and domains for sale, recent comparative data indicates that on average Safetica Cloud users are experiencing approximately a 76% decrease in uncategorized websites in Safetica’s environment. This 4X improvement in web categorization significantly lowers the number of uncategorized sites in Safetica’s web classification data and when coupled with automated processes, security teams will spend less time manually editing and recategorizing sites inside the web categorization engine. This enables users to more quickly identify and block potentially harmful browsing patterns to protect against unsafe interactions with malicious content, resulting in improved operational efficiency and faster security response times.
The Zvelo integration, available for Safetica Cloud users, is the second of two recent strategic technology partnerships forged by Safetica with best-in-breed security technology providers. It follows a late-2024 integration with OpenText File Content Extraction, for both the cloud and on-premises solutions. An existing integration with OpenText allowed Safetica to detect and create security policies for encrypted files. Through an expansion of the partnership Safetica now delivers the same functionality, plus more, with lower performance impact and better detection of “true type,” to recognize when a user changes a file extension to potentially leak data.
