Safetica 5 is a first-time Reader Trust Award finalist for Best Data Leakage Prevention (DLP) Solution for the SC Awards 2014.

Safetica 5 was recognized as a top product in DLP category for its ability to protect critical data both inside and outside the company, prevent data from unauthorized exits from network and endpoint computers, monitor traffic, and other data protection criteria.

Safetica’s shortlisting among the industry’s established DLP solutions is the latest achievement for Safetica Technologies. “It shows that our software is starting to get the recognition it deserves on the ground,” said Jakub Mahdal, CEO of Safetica Technologies. “This supports our long-term belief that there is room in the American marketplace for the hybrid context data protection that Safetica provides.”

Safetica 5 was selected from hundreds of entries submitted across 18 technology categories. Winners will be selected by a panel representing a cross-section of SC Magazine readership from all major vertical markets, including financial services, health care, government, retail, education and other sectors. “To secure the vote of our readers, the Reader Trust awards require entrants to demonstrate functionality, manageability, ease of-use and scalability, and excellent customer service and support, ” said Illena Armstrong, VP, editorial, SC Magazine. “Finalists for this award can be truly proud of the fact that they have been recognized as leaders in their field.”

The award notification follows on the heels of Safetica’s 4 ¾ star rating in SC Magazine’s independent review of DLP solutions in August of 2013. Safetica won positive comments for its all-around uniform simplicity from the technology reviewer.

The winner of the Reader Trust Award for Best Data Leakage Prevention (DLP) Solution will be announced at the SC Awards 2014 ceremony on Feb. 25, 2014 in San Francisco. The SC Awards are organized by SC Magazine, a leading publication for information security professionals with news and product reviews. The annual awards highlight up-and-coming companies in the security sector.
