Browsing the Internet and social networks

During browsing the Internet you can get to websites which ask you to reveal your credit card data or passwords to banking services. In social networks environment this phenomenon is more dangerous due to the fact that the links can come from your friends’ computers which have been infected by viruses.

E-mails and spam

Spam is about 80% of all delivered messages. Links in spam can lead to harmful websites full of spyware and viruses.

Instant messaging (ICQ, Skype)

Be very careful about whom you give consent with sharing personal data and what files you accept from them. If the attacker manages to infect your computer, they can use your contact list to get control of other computers.

Internal threats

A large part of security problems in companies is caused by employees and other people inside the company. Management of the company should not only focus on antivirus programs and firewalls but they should also focus on secure behavior of their own employees.

Employees working out of site

It is very difficult to control what the employees do on laptops outside their offices. They can use the laptops for other than working purposes.
